GB Men’s Team looking for new Team Manager

The GB Men’s Fastpitch Softball Team is looking for a new Team Manager.

The team is scheduled to play in a European Men’s Championship from 21-26 June 2021 in the Czech Republic and will be hoping to qualify for the WBSC Men’s World Cup in 2022.  The GB Men’s Team is currently ranked fourth in Europe and 18th in the world.

The role

GB Softball Team Managers work as part of a staff group that includes the Head Coach, Assistant Coaches and a team physio or other medical personnel.  Primary duties include:

  • Acting as the centre for team communications to and from players and staff.
  • Managing the team budget and accounts.
  • Organising logistics for overseas tours (flights, accommodation, meals, internal transport, laundry etc).
  • Organising team uniforms, clothing and equipment.
  • Managing all aspects of team logistics while on tour.

All staff positions on GB Softball National Teams are voluntary; no one is paid a salary or fee.  However, all costs for staff members are covered when a national team goes abroad for competition, and some expenses connected with organising training and competition in the UK can also be claimed if necessary.
