GB Slowpitch Open scheduled for Manchester

The 2014 GB Slowpitch Open tournament has been scheduled for Saturday 3 May in Manchester. This tournament is designed as a fun event for the teams that take part but also to raise money for the GB Slowpitch Team and raise the team's profile in the softball community.

First WBSC Congress to be held in Tunisia

The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) has awarded the North African nation of Tunisia the hosting rights for the first-ever WBSC Congress, which will be held in Hammamet, Tunisia from 10-11 May 2014.

The first competitive game of 2014?

Could this have been the first competitive outdoor softball game of the 2014 season? On Thursday 30 January, a team from the Swindon Softball League took on trainee officers from the Defence Academy in Shrivenham in temperatures of 2 degrees C, and the Swindon team eventually won by 31-10.

A real batting cage comes to Manchester

The Manchester Outlaws Softball Club, which has three teams at different levels in the Manchester Softball League, has brought a proper commercial pitching machine to the North West and built a batting cage to go around it at the Hough End Social Club ground at Chorlton.
