    Glasgow Tartan Tournament

    The Central Scotland Softball League's annual Tartan Tournament attracts B and C-grade co-ed slowpitch teams from Scotland and further afield, and the tournament is growing in popularity every year.  Along with the Edinburgh Festiball at the end of August, the Tartan Tournament gives softball fans in Scotland and the North a chance to see excellent softball played in a great spirit North of Hadrian’s Wall.

    Great Britain Fastpitch League 4

    This is the fourth of four Saturdays on which the Great Britain Fastpitch League (GBFL) will play in April, May and June 2016, plus an open event in July.  This year, there will be a five-team Men's League and a four-team Women's League, with Great Britain players spread among the different teams.  All players are welcome regardless of previous fastpitch experience, and new players will be assigned to appropriate teams.  Spectators are welcome to come and see the best fastpitch competition available in the UK.

    Manchester LGBT Tournament

    BaseballSoftballUK, in partnership with Pride Sports (http://www.pridesports.org.uk), will bring the second LGBT softball tournament to Manchester on Saturday 4 June 2016.  All co-ed slowpitch softball teams at C-grade or D-grade are welcome to enter, as well as teams with no experience at all, as guidance will be available throughout the day.  Just make up a team from your staff networks, business or club, or grab 10 mates and come along ready to play.  Softball is a mixed game and players of all gender identities are welcome.  Softball's usual gender rules for mixed competition will not apply to this tournament.  All equipment will be provided for teams that need it, games will run from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm (be there by 10.00 am) and the cost is £100 per team or £9 for individuals.  Various fundraising activities will be organised during the day for Educate & Celebrate (http://www.ellybarnes.com), a charity dedicated to "Making all schools and workplaces LGBT+Friendly".  Register here: http://www.pridegames.org.uk/softball/.

    Diamond Tournament Series 2

    This is the second of three Diamond Series tournaments that will run in 2016 at Farnham Park,  This tournament will include all grades of play, including National Softball League competition.

    British Airways Tournament

    This is one of the top tournaments in the London area each year for A, B and C-grade teams, played on the excellent fields and with the excellent facilities at Imperial College's Heston venue, formerly the BA Concorde Club in Cranford, Middlesex.  The best that British slowpitch has to offer will be on display.

    2016 GB Invitational Women’s Fastpitch Tournament

    BaseballSoftballUK and the GB Management Committee are hosting an international women's fastpitch tournament to provide more competition experience for GB National Team players.  American Under-19 teams from the US and Germany will compete against a GB Select Team and the London Angels, and the Irish National Team and a team from Indonesia may also enter.  Spectators are welcome.

    London Cup Invitational Women’s Fastpitch Tournament

    The 2016 London Cup, hosted by the BSF and BSUK, is an international women's fastpitch tournament that will be played on the weekend of 2-3 July at Farnham Park.  The London Angels, 2013 European Women's Cup Champions, and a team composed of GB Under-19  and Senior players, will take on national teams from Denmark and Ireland, as well as teams from France and an Under-19 Team from Pennsylvania, USA.  Spectators are welcome, play begins at 10.00 am on Saturday and there will be food and drink available on site throughout the tournament.

    British Softball Federation Single-Sex Slowpitch National Championships

    In 2016, the BSF Single-Sex Slowpitch Nationals will once again be played in Birmingham, where the tournament regularly attracts a large number of entries.  The competition is open to men's and women's slowpitch teams from around the country.

    Disco Ball

    Disco Ball is a brand new one-day tournament for D & low C-grade teams played on the fancy fenced fields at Farnham Park (usually reserved for the A-graders!).

    The tournament will be a great opportunity to play lots of games to gain experience, show newer players how fun tournaments are and get a wicked sun tan (...hopefully).

    Disco Ball is restricted to 12 teams so be sure to get your entry in ASAP!

    WBSC Women’s Fastpitch World Championships

    The 15th Women's Fastpitch World Championships will be played at Softball City, home of the annual Canadian Open Tournament, in Surrey, near Vancouver.  The GB Women's Team will compete in its fifth straight World Championship, and like many other teams around the world, will see this event as a steppingstone towards the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, when softball and baseball are expected to return to the programme.

    Windsor Tournament

    This year's Windsor Tournament, one of the major co-ed slowpitch tournaments on the calendar, will include the third weekend ofNational Softball League play as well as being open to B and C-grade teams.  This tournament will fill up quickly, so teams that want to enter should do so soon.

    Great Britain Fastpitch League Finals Day

    The Great Britain Fastpitch League will have its final day of play for the 2016 season Far Farnham Park.  The format for the Finals Day has yet to be determined, but there will be some great fastpitch play on offer for men's, women's and possibly mixed teams.

    The GB Junior (Under-19) Women's Fastpitch Team will come into the tournament as the fourth seed, thanks to their highest-ever finish in 2014, and will be looking for a medal.

    European Co-ed Slowpitch Super Cup

    This event is for the top co-ed slowpitch club teams in Europe, held every two years by the European Softball Federation.  Countries can send more than one team to the event, and Chromies and Pioneers will represent British Softball.

    European Massimo Romeo Youth Cup

    The GB Under-13 Girls' Fastpitch Team programme has competed in this event since it was founded in 2012, and will compete again this year as the London Cubs. The event is open to both national and club teams.  In 2015, the London Cubs registered their first two wins in the competition and narrowly missed a third.

    Teams from all grades of competition within British softball, including the top eight A-grade teams from the National Softball League, will compete for National Championship titles on the same weekend at Farnham Park.

    Insurance Institute of Manchester (IIM) Tournament

    This closed co-ed slowpitch tournament for teams representing insurance companies in Manchester will be running for the third straight year in 2016.  Last year the event raised over £500 for charity.

    Guernsey 80th Anniversary Men’s Fastpitch Tournament

    This year marks the 80th anniversary of organised softball on the island of Guernsey, and for most of that time the main format was fastpitch.  Slowpitch has overtaken fastpitch in recent years, but to celebrate their history and revive past glories, the Guernsey Softball Association is hosting this three-day Men's Fastpitch Tournament in August and hopes to attract teams from around Europe.

    This annual co-ed slowpitch tournament, covering all grades of play, is one of the most popular on the tournament calendar, and coincides with the Edinburgh Festival and Fringe.  Teams from all over the UK, including some of the top teams and players in the country, will be playing and the finals on Sunday are always worth watching.

    Softball World Series Tournament

    The Softball World Series is an annual high-level co-ed slowpitch tournament for real or ex-pat national teams or teams representing countries or areas of the world.  Many teams fly in from European countries including Ireland, Jersey, Belgium, Switzerland, Holland, Germany and the Czech Republic.  Teams made up of players resident in the UK include England, Scotland, Wales, USA, Canada, Africa, Australia/New Zealand, Latin America and Japan/Asia.  Spectators are welcome.
