Bristol First Ball Sees Jets Take the Cup

Sunday 21st April saw Bristol Softball League hold their annual firstball tournament. This relaxed tournament aims to give Bristol league teams and umpires the opportunity to have a collection of games as a warmup and to get back into the swing of things (pun intended), with a great day of softball before the start of the season.

Bulldogs and Pyros take on Worlds Best in USSSA Worlds
19 March 2024
In a first for Europe, a USSSA Softball World Championships was held in Barcelona, Spain, for men’s and women’s teams from the 15-17th March. Competing at the tournament, held at the two venues used for the 1992 Olympics, were Bulldogs (women’s) and Pyros (men’s) from the UK containing players who regularly turn out in the NSL.

Stephen Patterson steps down as GB Slowpitch Head Coach

GB Co-ed and Men’s Slowpitch Team Head Coach Stephen Patterson has stepped down from the role after 12 successful years, during which GB Slowpitch Teams won numerous European Championship titles.

Four new teams to join NSL3 for the 2024 season

With one additional grass pitch set to be available at Farnham Park in 2024 as opposed to 2023, the BSF has announced that its third-tier National Softball League competition, NSL3, will expand by four new teams for the coming season.
