Bristol and Jersey teams take top prizes at Edinburgh Festiball

Glorious wall-to-wall sunshine provided the backdrop to the 31st Edinburgh Festiball, contested by 31 teams from the UK and Europe at Meadowmill Sports Centre on 27-28 August. A team from Jersey and two teams from Bristol took the top prizes.

League Nationals provide fun in the sun for teams from across the UK

The 2022 BSF Co-ed Slowpitch League National Championships were contested by 18 teams from around the UK in warm sunshine on the weekend of 6-7 August at Farnham Park and produced worthy Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze winners.

H2O take 2022 National Softball League 1 league title

The last weekend of play for teams in National Softball League 1, postponed to avoid clashing with the European Co-ed Slowpitch Championship, took place on 23-24 July at Farnham Park, and H2O emerged as the 2022 league winner.

GB Slowpitch wins European Championship gold for the 12th time

It was another hard-fought and relatively low-scoring game between GB and Germany on Saturday in the final of the 2022 European Co-ed Slowpitch Championship in Ljubljana, Slovenia, but this time GB prevailed by 12-7 to win European gold for the 12th time in 13 attempts.

GB Slowpitch qualify for World Cup and will play for gold tomorrow

The GB Co-ed Slowpitch Team beat Ireland on Friday and were leading Slovenia 10-0 in the second inning when the game was abandoned due to rain at the European Co-ed Slowpitch Championship in Ljubljana, Slovenia. This was enough to clinch GB’s qualification for the inaugural WBSC Co-ed Slowpitch World Cup in 2023 and a place in the gold medal game tomorrow.

Two more mercy-rule wins steer GB Slowpitch towards the gold medal game

In the easiest day so far for Great Britain at the European Co-ed Slowpitch Championship in Ljubljana, Slovenia, at least on the field, two run-away mercy rule wins on Thursday over Serbia and Belgium moved GB ever-nearer to Saturday’s gold medal game and World Cup qualification.

Two wins on Day 2 at the Euros keep GB Slowpitch in the gold medal hunt

Two ultimately comfortable wins on Wednesday for the GB Team at the European Co-ed Slowpitch Championship in Ljubljana, Slovenia – one over Austria and the other over a dangerous Czech Republic team – kept GB firmly in the frame for a place in the gold medal game on Saturday.

GB Slowpitch start the Euros with a big win and a tough loss

It was a day of contrasts Tuesday for the GB Team on Day 1 of the European Co-ed Slowpitch Championship in Ljubljana, Slovenia. A game of ruthless attack netted GB a mercy rule win over the Netherlands this morning but a tight game against Germany this afternoon ended in a loss.

GB Co-ed Slowpitch Team looking for gold and World Cup qualification

The 2022 European Co-ed Slowpitch Championship starts on Tuesday 12 July in the Slovenian capital Ljubljana, and the GB Co-ed Slowpitch Team will have two goals: the gold medal, and qualification for the 2023 WBSC Co-ed Slowpitch World Cup.
