Bristol Wreck Tournament thrives in a heat wave

Whatever softball was played over the Bristol Wreck weekend on 13-14 August at a parched Somerdale Pavilion in Keynsham, there was only one topic pf conversation: playing in an extreme heatwave, as temperatures rarely dropped below 90 degrees Fahrenheit.

League Nationals provide fun in the sun for teams from across the UK

The 2022 BSF Co-ed Slowpitch League National Championships were contested by 18 teams from around the UK in warm sunshine on the weekend of 6-7 August at Farnham Park and produced worthy Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze winners.

Over the fourth weekend of Great Britain Fastpitch League (GBFL) play on 30-31 July at Farnham Park, the top teams in both the Women’s and Men’s Divisions cemented their positions, and this is unlikely to change.

Stags lose unbeaten record in GBFL Week 3 but The Mix stay undefeated

It took three weekends of play in the Great Britain Fastpitch League (GBFL) before the Stags, runaway leaders in the Men’s Division, dropped a game – a 14-13 loss to second place Meteors on Sunday 12 June at Farnham Park. However, The Mix remain undefeated on top of the Women’s Division.

Stags and The Mix stay on top of the GBFL standings

After the second weekend of play in the Great Britain Fastpitch League (GBFL) on the weekend of 28-29 May at Farnham Park, the Stags have maintained their position at the top of the Men’s Division while The Mix continue to lead the Women’s Division – both with no defeats, though the Stags do have a tie.

Second NSL weekend leaves issues to be settled in July

Rain on Sunday caused some re-arrangement of pitches but didn’t prevent all games being completed at the second weekend of 2022 National Softball League play at Farnham Park on 4-5 June, where results left a number of key issues still be settled when the NSL reconvenes in July.

Legends, Camels, Havoc & Milton Keynes hold leads after first NSL weekend

The first weekend of National Softball League play in 2022 – hopefully the start of the first full NSL season since 2019 – took place on 21-22 May at Farnham Park, with Legends, and Spittin’ Camels emerging as early league leaders in NSL1 and NSL2 while Blitz Havoc and Milton Keynes share the lead in NSL3.
