I nominate Southport Seagulls for the Presidents Cup.
As a new team with one experienced player with the majority of the team commuting from a local Badminton Club, they trained twice weekly and entered the newly formed Sefton Softball League.
They ran out winners of the league, runners up in their first ever tournament c grade Manchester and closed the season by winning the 12 team Sefton Shield.
A triumph for transferable skills and a great example of reward for effort.
