BSF Tournaments Officer Liz Graham has announced that a twelfth team -- Blitz -- has now signed up to the BSF's new National Softball League 2 competition for B-grade teams in 2016, bringing the league up to full capacity.

The popularity of a second National Softball League tier has taken the BSF slightly by surprise, as they were not expecting to reach the 12-team limit until sometime in 2017.

This year, the NSL 2 standings -- with places in the 2016 Platinum Nationals guaranteed to the top six teams -- will be decided based on winning percentages across all games played by NSL 2 teams in a wide range of tournaments.  From next year, however, NSL 2 will be structured in the same way as NSL 1, with teams playing each other in a league schedule at a small number of mandatory tournaments.

Promotion and relegation between NSL 2 and NSL 1 will begin in a limited way at the end of this season, but may be expanded in future.

Current Standings

With the addition of Blitz, and with games they have played so far this season taken into account, the NSL 2 standings currently look like this:
