Founded in 2017 by two best friends, Sian Wigington and Chelsie Robison, The Mix is a British women's fastpitch softball team comprised of female athletes who share a love and passion for the game. Since its inception, the team has won five back-to-back Great Britain Fastpitch League titles and won Gold at last year's WBSC European Cup. Winning the European Cup means The Mix will be the first ever British team to qualify for the WBSC Women’s Premier Cup.
“Over the last 5 years, the purple army has taken European softball by storm. We started the team to allow British based players more opportunity on the bigger stages. From pre-season tournaments in the Netherlands & Israel, to European cups in Italy, Bulgaria and Croatia.”

The Mix are just a couple weeks away from flying to Italy for European softball’s most challenging and popular club tournament. International and professional athletes travel from all over the world for this event.
“This year, after 7 years of competing together, The Mix will play at the Premier Cup in Italy. The first British club team to ever make an appearance. I exude pride when I think about everything we have achieved with our purple family. The Premier Cup will be another level for us, but I genuinely believe the team is ready and excited to show what we have got”

With softball growing in the UK, one of the team’s goals is to expand and develop young players’ love for the game. The Mix believes that it does not matter who you are or what your abilities are, there is a place for you on the diamond.
The Mix’s Mission: promote and develop their youth, make mark on European softball, and subsidise costs for their players.
As well as fundraising events, The Mix are looking for sponsors to invest in the team and in return receive benefits such as: logos on shirts, social media exposure, banners, sponsored MVP awards, and more. They also have a GoFundMe page on their website!
