Have you ever been a softball tournament organiser?  You book your venue, you make all the arrangements, your tournament goes in the website events list – and somehow, the teams just don't roll in.

And that's when you discover that you're up against Diamonds 2!

That fate has befallen the long-established and idyllic Spring Cotwold Tournament taking place in Stroud, Gloucestershire on Sunday, June 10.  This is a friendly, low-cost, well-run one-day  tournament aimed squarely at recreational and social teams – and there has to be a whole load of those kinds of teams that aren't going to Diamonds.

Long-suffering Cotwold Tournament organiser Mike LeFevre says: “ I'm sure there are many teams out there who fancy some games and either don't fancy the expense of a large tournament or don't want to play in a 'serious' tournament.  Well, the Cotswold Tournament is neither expensive or serious.  It's just good fun!”
