The Slovenian Softball Federation will host its first open co-ed slowpitch competition, the Fireball Tournament, on the weekend of June 18-19 at the Golovec Baseball and Softball Club in Ljubljana.

It will not quite be co-ed slowpitch as we know it, since teams are only required to have three female players on the field rather than five.

The entry fee will be 100 euros, the deadline for entry is May 5, every team will get a trophy, and there will be a party on Saturday night.

Mutual Support

Slovenia has done a great deal to support the growth of slowpitch in Europe (including hosting two ESF slowpitch competitions between 2006 and 2010), and it would be good if some British teams could repay that support by entering the tournament.

Ljubljana is a beautiful city and the Slovenians are great hosts.
