Two National Softball League 2 teams -- the Mavericks and Outlaws -- competed at the Manchester Tournament on 30-31 August, and both put up records of three wins and four losses and dropped down the NSL 2 standings.
The team to take advantage of this was Ninos Privados, who moved up to second place.
There is now just one tournament remaining -- Diamond Series 3 on 6-7 August at Farnham Park -- where NSL 2 teams can fight for the top six places that will guarantee entry into the Platinum Nationals on the weekend of 13-14 August, also at Farnham Park.
