Norfolk's first-ever open co-ed slowpitch competition, the Norfolk Softball Tournament, will take place on the weekend of September 10-11 in Fakenham, and is designed for C-grade and D-grade teams.

The venue will be Fakenham High School, home to the thriving Norfolk Softball Association, where teams will enjoy a purpose-built fully-fenced field, along with three other partially-fenced diamonds, catering at the venue, a Softball Shop stall and nearby camping as well as local B&Bs.

Home Run Derby

On Saturday, September 10, things will get underway at noon to allow teams time to get to Norfolk, and the day will be devoted to friendly games and to a Home Run Derby, with a £5 entry fee but cash prizes for the winners.

The official tournament will be played on Sunday,September 11, and will be governed by local rules, which means three women and seven men on the field, and players must be 15 years or older.

Cost

The entry fee will be £150, with a £50 deposit required by July 31. Teams that book after that date will pay £200.

All teams that sign up will be sent an Official Programme  by post or email.
