The British Softball Federation has started a second tier of National Softball League competition this season for B-grade teams, with eight teams signed up to take part, and the early leaders in the NSL 2 standings are the Manchester Dodgers.

The top four teams in the standings after all qualifying tournaments have been played will gain places in the BSF’s Platinum National Championships on 13-14 August at Farnham Park, and the top team will have the option of promotion to NSL 1 in 2017.

Teams signed up to compete in NSL 2 this year are:

NSL 2 standings will be compiled on the basis of results achieved by these teams in all round-robin games at various tournaments over the summer, with winning percentage the determining factor.

The first NSL 2 games to count in the standings were played at the first Diamond Series tournament on 14-15 May, after which the table looked like this:
