Six of the 12 teams in the BSF's National Softball League 2 competed at the Bristol Main Tournament at Clifton College on the weekend of 2-3 July, but the results produced little change in the NSL 2 standings.

The Outlaws moved into second place above the Mavericks on winning percentage, but all other teams remained in the same positions achieved after the last NSL 2 tournament in Leeds on 25-26 June.

The six NSL 2 teams that played at Bristol were Dodgers, Mavericks, Ninos Privados, KKs, SPAM and Bristol Bees "B".

After the final qualification tournament has been played, the top six teams in the NSL 2 standings will receive places in the Platinum Nationals on the weekend of 13-14 August at Farnham Park.

The remaining tournaments at which NSL 2 teams can pick up wins and points, with the number of NSL 2 teams competing in each event, are:

  • Windsor Tournament (16-17 July) -- 6 teams
  • East Midlands Labor Day Tournament (23-24 July) -- 2 teams
  • Manchester Tournament (30-31 July) -- 2 teams
  • Diamond Series 3 (6-7 August) -- 8-10 teams
