SUMMARY: The Great Britain Women's Senior National Softball Team got back on the winning track on Monday, defeating Greece 8-1 in six innings before a 4-3 victory over Israel. Great Britain now stands second in Group Y, with two wins and a loss with two Group games remaining.

GAME 1: Great Britain vs. Greece
The game changed when...Kirsten Dell smacked a leadoff double to right field - her first hit for GB since the 2018 World Cup - to start a four-run rally in the sixth, with Jahni Kerr's home run the biggest hit.
Great Britain's top performer was Jahni Kerr, who smashed her first hit in a GB uniform, homered, drove in three runs, and stole a base.
GBR Stars:
- Kerr: 2-3, with a Home Run(1), three runs batted in, and a stolen base
- Katie Burge: 2-3 with a triple and a stolen base
- Cara Edwards: 2-2 with a double, an RBI and a stolen base
- Georgina Corrick: 3-4 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored
GAME 2: Great Britain vs. Israel
The game changed when...Morgan Salmon smashed a ball deep into the outfield and raced around the bases for a three-run, inside-the-park home run to give Great Britain a three-run lead - just three batters into the bottom of the first.
Great Britain's top performer was Salmon, with a critical home run in the first inning - but an honourable mention to Georgina Corrick, who tossed 2.1 innings of scoreless relief while striking out seven to

- Salmon: an inside-the-park Home Run (1), driving in three of Great Britain's four runs on the day
- Corrick: 2.1 innings pitched with 7 strikeouts,
- Amie Hutchison went 1-2 with an RBI single for the crucial fourth and decisive run, also in the first

- Jahni Kerr recorded several Great Britain firsts today - her first hit, run, home run, run batted in and stolen base, all coming against Greece in her second GBR game
- Kirsten Dell - nee Mack - tallied her first hit for Great Britain since the 2018 Softball World Championship following a six-year career break - six years, and 17 days to be exact!
- The Great Britain team "hit for the cycle" in both games, with the offence tallying singles, doubles, a triple and a home run in each contest.
- The right side of the GBR infield featured the youngest player (Jenna Thompson) and the most veteran player (Kirsten Dell) against Greece. Jenna Thompson is 16; Kirsten Dell is 32.
- Great Britain's final game of the opening round will be against Belgium, the Group B winners, on Wednesday.
