British slowpitch teams have received an invitation to attend the 2018 Tournament of Champions, to be played from 15-17 June next year in Rheine, Germany.

The tournament is open to co-ed teams in a 5:5 or 8:2 format, and to men’s and women’s teams.

The entry fee is 150 euros, teams are asked to bring their own .52/300 balls and all teams will be asked to supply umpires for some games.

The tournament will also be collecting toys for the charity Toys for Tots, which gives the toys to children in hospital, many with Stage 4 cancer, in the German city of Munster, and players are urged to bring a small toy with them as a donation.

Camping with showers and toilets is available and power for RVs can be provided.  A list of local hotels can be supplied on request.

Games will be time-limited at 60 minutes, 11” and 12” balls will be used, and the pitching arc will be 5-10 feet.
