The British Softball Federation announced the 2024 Inductees into the Federation's Hall of Fame earlier this year, with eight new members receiving the Federation's highest honour. With the Great Britain Women's National Team in Utrecht for the 2024 Women's Softball European Championship, the home of Hall of Famer Steph Pearce, the team took the opportunity to honour two of their own - including active player Georgina Corrick - on Wednesday, 4 September, following the competition's opening round.
The ceremony took place in the Great Britain Softball Team Room at their hotel in Amersfoort, the team's "home away from home" during competition. With friends and family in attendance supporting both the team and the newly minted Hall of Famers, light refreshments were enjoyed before the ceremony got underway.
Hosted by BaseballSoftballUK Head of Performance Gary Anderson, and with Olympic Head Coach Tara Henry presenting the Hall of Fame plaques, both Steph Pearce and Georgina Corrick gave incredible acceptance speeches in the half-hour-long ceremony.
