The Great Britain Fastpitch League (GBFL) has cancelled the Opening Day of its 2020 season, set for Saturday 4 April at Farnham Park, due to the coronavirus epidemic.

However, with the second GBFL date not scheduled until a month later, on Saturday 2 May, league administrators are leaving open the question of whether play can take place then or later in the season, and further announcements will be made.

Given the fast-moving nature of the coronavirus crisis as well as government restrictions in response to it, decisions about the possibility of any type of softball play in 2020 can only be provisional at this stage.  However, the BSF Executive is meeting on 19 March and will issue a statement to the softball community shortly thereafter.

WOMEN's DIVISION
