The GB Junior (Under-19) Women's Fastpitch Team is looking for a Team Manager for 2012.
The Team Manager will be largely responsible for arrangements and logistics while the team is on tour, and will join a staff consisting of Head Coach Liz Knight, Assistant Coach Robbie Robison, Physio Rachael Watkeys and General Manager Bob Fromer.
European Championships
The team is preparing for European Junior Championships in Belgium next summer, and a preparation week plus the tournament itself will run from around July 17-29.
In addition, the team is planning weekend trips to the Netherlands in January and March to play in warm-up events and may spend much of the preparation week before the European Championships in Holland as well to train and play scrimmage games.
Responsibilities
The two main responsibilities of a Team Manager are usually to sort out transport, room and board and other arrangements before competitions, and then to manage the practicalities of the tour while the team is travelling. But in this case, the Manager will have considerable help with the pre-tournament logistics and the main responsibilities will be on tour.
