U16 Men’s Head Coach Natalie Hull and U18 Men’s Head Coach Alan LeMarquand are pleased to announce the selection of their respective extended training squads following the trials in Cardiff last month.
Both coaches have selected a combination of new players to the Men’s Programme and players with previous experience playing for GB too.
The two squads will train together over the winter as the coaches work with the players and develop their final travelling rosters of 17 players, for the European Championships next summer.
U16 Head Coach Natalie Hull is looking forward to the winter ahead, and said:
“I was really impressed with the number of applicants across both squads and the level of enthusiasm & effort on display. With such high numbers to choose from the selection process took several days, conversations & in some cases heart wrenching decisions, by no means an easy task for the Coaching Staff. Huge thanks to the families who travelled to Cardiff and for those parents & colleagues who helped us run the session on the day.”
Those selected for the U16s winter roster are:
Barney Reynolds
Billy Donoghue
Connor Satchwell
Ethan Hull
Harry Moreland
Jack Leslie
Jacob Henry
Jay Barwell
Joseph Partridge
Kobe Uppingtom
Leo Chapman
Magnus Thornton-Smith
Noah Norton
Oliver Birkman
Oscar Ladd
Owain Hughes
Owen Harbord
Reuben Monk
Rithvik Naicker
Sid Ruthers
Solly Burton
Stanley O'Leary
Theo Dormer
Thomas Schofield
U18’s Head Coach Alan LeMarquand was also impressed:
“It’s fantastic to be going back to the European Championships after 3 years and to be going with a new team that, while it has a small amount of experience from the 2023 event, one coach and two players, the rest of the squad has over two years of GBFL experience coupled with players who entered the U16 program in the last year. There was a lot of talent on display at the recent trials and selecting an extended squad was extremely difficult, which will make it equally difficult to trim that squad down to the final travelling party. The coaching team is excited to be working with this group and seeing where they can go and how hard they will make the final selection task for us.”
It is great to see the number of new names within the roster for both the U16 and the U18s, with some players returning to a GB jersey in their next phase of development within the Men’s Programme.
Those selected for the U18’s winter roster are:
Alex Hawes-Nunn

Fin Young
