Two mixed GB youth fastpitch teams will be travelling to Ermont, near Paris, on the weekend of 14-15 March to play in a tournament organised by the Ermont Expos Softball Commission.

GB sent a mixed youth fastpitch team to a similar tournament in Paris last October, played in honour of former GB Women's Team player Fleur Edgerton, who lived much of her adult life in Paris and was a player, coach and leader at the French club Bat Paris before sadly dying from cancer in 2012.

This month's tournament will be played at the Complexe Sportif Gaston Rebuffat in Ermont and the aim is to provide more game time and different opposition for GB Junior players to help them prepare for competitions this summer.

The GB Junior (Under-19) Men will be playing in European Championships in July in the Czech Republic, while the GB Junior Women will play in their second ISF Junior World Championship in Oklahoma City in August.

For the Paris tournament, two balanced teams have been selected rather than an A and B team, to maximise playing opportunities and experience.
