GB faced the hosts, Czech Republic in an evening game under flood lights. The Czechs came out quickly with the bat getting early runs on the board. GB batters struggled at first to bat against the opponent's pitching strength, but soon got their eyes in. However, they were restricted getting on base with Czech fielding on point as expected. The final score of 16-0 was not a true reflection of the game as GB's performance had some impressive moments against the favourites.
