Eight members of the GB Under-19 Men’s Fastpitch squad will shortly travel to Eilat, Israel, to play in the annual Ayelet Games from 7-9 March.

The tournament will provide three days of high-quality competition for the young squad, but because the tournament is taking place in term time, the number of GB Under-19 players that could commit to it was limited.  So the GB players will be joined by four players from Denmark to compete against national squads from the Czech Republic and Israel.

This is the first time a British contingent has taken part in this popular tournament, and Team Manager Ian Tomlin hopes that the squad will gain valuable experience facing some of Europe’s best teams.

GB players are looking forward, not just to the stiff opposition they will face, but to the chance to meet up again with players from the Israeli squad who became friends following the European Championship in 2017.
