GB Women's Team catcher Steph Pearce, currently in her junior year at the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut, received a Softball Honor Roll award for her play during the week of 9-15 April in the NCAA Division II East Coast Conference.

In eight games over the week, Steph compiled a .458 batting average (11-for-24) a .667 slugging percentage and a .552 on-base percentage.  Steph also had seven runs batted in, with three doubles, one triple and two stolen bases.  She also handled 31 fielding chances without an error.

According to the Honor Roll report, Steph has been a steadying force behind the plate for the Bridgeport Purple Knights all season long as the starting catcher in over 40 games.

Steph Pearce, who lives in Tolworth, Surrey, came up Steph Pearcethrough the British Softball Academy, the Monkeys Softball Club run by Baker Tomkins and the GB Youth Teams.  Steph won the Best Batter award at the 2008 European Junior B Pool Championships and has played on the GB Women's Team since 2009.

This summer, Steph will play in the Great Britain Fastpitch League for London Angels before travelling with the GB Women's Team to Canada for the 13th ISF Women's World Championships.
