June 21, 2012 is the first national Women's Try-a-Sport Day. The aim is to get more women involved in sport in their local areas before the London Olympics.
This initiative is a great way to target women to try something new and would be an excellent way to get more women involved in softball at the league level.
The British Softball Federation Executive would like to encourage all leagues to get behind the idea by advertising and running their own female-targeted training sessions, whether on June 21 or afterwards. This approach can help to increase female participation and the overall awareness of softball in your area.
