The final weekend of National Softball League 2 competition for 2016 took place at Diamond Series 3 on 6-7 August, and the Dodgers from Manchester emerged as NSL 2 winners.

Seven of the 12 NSL 2 teams played at Diamond 3, and their results (wins, draws and losses) were:

Dodgers (6 - 0 – 0)
Blitz (6 - 0 – 0)
Ninos Privados (4 - 1 – 1)
KKs (4 - 0 – 2)
Maidenhead Royals (4 - 0 – 2)
Misfits (3 - 1 – 2)
Bees “B” (1 - 1 – 4)

The final NSL 2 standings are as follows:

Trophies will be awarded during the BSF Co-ed Slowpitch National Championships over the weekend of 13-14 August at Farnham Park.


Platinum Nationals places

On the basis of NSL 2 standings, places in the Platinum Nationals have been awarded to:

Dodgers
Blitz
Ninos Privados
KKs
Misfits
Warriors

The Outlaws are unable to play, SPAM already have a place as the 2015 Gold winners and the league team Mavericks II are participating in the Rec Nationals.  The Bees “B” are on standby if another team is unable to play.
