SUMMARY: Georgina Corrick allowed just one-hit and Great Britian scored five runs with two out in the bottom of the fourth in a 5-0 win over the Philippines. The win, Great Britain's second of Group Lima, sets up a critical final day as teams position for the Saturday's playoffs.

Box Score

The game changed…in the bottom of the fourth when Great Britain had two outs. Katie Burge walked, Mia Krueger hit a bloop behind second after fighting nine pitches deep into the count and Kaitlyn Parisi opened the door with an RBI to get Burge’s pinch runner, Laura Hirai, home. After that, Great Britain opened the doors and four more runs followed. Two runs came from Jahni Kerr’s RBI.

Great Britain’s top performer was Georgina Corrick. Her first inning was a 1-2-3 inning with three strikeouts, and she had nine total strikeouts across the game. Everyone watched on in awe as the batters stepped up to the plate with a swing and a miss with almost every single one of her pitches.

Next up: Great Britain will face Puerto Rico and Venezuela at Villa María del Triunfo Sports Complex tomorrow, with the first game scheduled for 11:00 PET/16:00 BST, and the second at 14:00 PET/20:00 BST
