BSF Officers now serve for two-year terms, and a number of Directors and General Officers on the Executive will be serving their second year in 2018, so these positions are not up for election.  These Officers are:

President:  Jenny Fromer
Administrator:  Stella Ackrell
Treasurer:  Laura Burkhardt
Competitions Director:  Liz Graham

General Officer -- Farnham Park:  Steve Getraer
General Officer -- Finance:  Mike Jennings
General Officer -- National Championships:  Lesley Morisetti

This leaves one Director's post which is up for election: National Teams Officer.  The holder of this position becomes the Chair for the GB Management Committee (GBMC), which oversees and supports softball national teams, and is the liaison between the GBMC and the BSF Executive.

There are also three General Officer posts currently vacant:

General Officer -- GBMC Support
General Officer -- Marketing and Communication
General Officer -- Coaching

If you wish to submit a nomination or self-nomination for any of these vacant positions, please send this by no later than 5.00 pm on Tuesday 13 February to jenny.fromer@googlemail.com.  Please attach a candidate statement which references relevant skills and experience you would bring to the position.

If you want more information about any of these vacant positions, please contact Jenny Fromer.

AGM attendance requirements

Attendance at the BSF AGM is linked to eligibility to participate in National Championships.  Attendance is required by:

  • All NSL 1 and NSL 2 teams.

  • All slowpitch softball leagues that wish to send teams to Nationals at any level.

  • All 2017 league divisional winners that wish to take up the place they have earned in the Co-ed Slowpitch Nationals in 2018 at the appropriate grade.

  • All teams that won their grade (Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze) at the 2017 Co-ed Slowpitch Nationals if they wish to be guaranteed a place in the 2018 Nationals as defending champions.

Please note that, in general, a league representative cannot also represent a team at the AGM.  However, a League Head who is a genuine registered playing member of a team from that league that has won a place in the 2018 BSF Co-ed Slowpitch League Nationals can represent both the league and that team.  But such a person will only have one vote, not two.

If you are invoking this clause by representing your league and team at the AGM, please let .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) know beforehand.
