As part of our ongoing review of pitch side activities we have already addressed smoking/vaping and alcohol consumption in the dugout areas.
This promotes a more positive experience of our sport when we have more children and visitors watching
We're now asking all captains & teams to ensure that any music/playlists do not include tracks with lyrics which can been classed as offensive.
This can include any variety of music types which has continued swearing and disrespectful terms towards different sexes and race.
Please check your playlists before your next event.
If inappropriate songs are heard or reported, we will ask for them to be deleted. Continued use could result in no music being allowed pitch side
We hope this can be self-managed, and ask you & your team to remove any songs not appropriate. Your tournament or league organisers will be on hand to advise as will our BASU umpires and any representatives of the BSF including the athlete’s commission.
