The British Softball Federation will host the London Cup, a tournament for junior and senior women's fastpitch teams, on the weekend of July 7-8, 2018, with a strong line-up of national teams taking part.

The tournament will be played at Farnham Park, a dedicated softball and baseball complex near London and Heathrow Airport.

The teams that will contest the tournament are the French and Irish Senior Women's Fastpitch National Teams, the Great Britain and Czech Under-19 Women's Fastpitch National Teams and a GB Select team made up of national team players from the GB Senior and Under-22 teams.

This should be the highest-quality women's fastpitch tournament held in the UK since 2006, and the first time since 2013 that a full GB National Team -- in this case the GB Under-19 Women -- will have played a competitive game on British soil.

The GB Under-19 Team is the current European Champion, and the London Cup will be used as a warm-up event for the 2018 European Junior Women's Championship, beginning on 16 July in Italy, where the GB Team will defend its title.

A dedicated baseball and softball clubhouse on site, the Home Plate Bar and Kitchen, will provide food throughout each day and will be providing a BBQ for the teams on Saturday evening, 7 July, after play has finished for the day.

Spectators are welcome, and there is no entry charge.  Games will begin at 10.00 am on Saturday and 9.00 am on Sunday, with the final scheduled for 2.30 on Sunday afternoon.  The final will be webstreamed live by Eurobaseball TV.
