MarLondon Fastpitch Softball League to expand to 12 teams and two divisions this year
The London Fastpitch Softball League, which began in its current form last year with just five teams, is expanding to 12 adult teams and two divisions in 2011. Division 1 will consist of three men’s and three women’s teams while Division 2 will have six co-ed teams.

MarSportivate to provide sporting opportunities for teenagers and young adults
A new Sport England initiative called Sportivate will give young people aged between 14 and 25 the chance to receive six-to-eight weeks of coaching in a sport of their choice and will support them to continue playing sport in their community after the coaching period ends.

MarRecord Numbers at Academy Softball session
Record numbers of players and coaches attended the most recent Academy Softball session on Saturday, March 5 at Upper Heyford, bolstered by a bus-load of girls from Coventry who were trying out the Academy for the very first time.

MarBSUK Tournament to take a sabbatical in 2011
BSUK Events Manager Jason Greenberg explains why the organisation has decided not to run the BSUK Tournament in 2011, but will look to bring it back in 2012 with a stronger development focus. Meanwhile, BSUK is still running and supporting a host of other events.
