GB Junior Women open at Euros

The GB Junior (Under-19) Women's Fastpitch Team will play their opening game at the 2012 European Junior Championship on Monday, July 23 at the Gryphons Softball Coub in Rosmalen, near Den Bosch in Holland. GB will take on Israel on Monday and the Czech Republic on Tuesday.

GB Men look for third straight World Championship qualification

The GB Men's Fastpitch Team will take a 17-strong squad, including 12 UK-based players, to the European Men's Fastpitch Championships in Amstelveen in the Netherlands, to be played from July 23-28. The GB Team will be looking to qualify for World Championships for the third straight time.

Clapham Thunder and Manchester Fish take titles at Windsor

The 2012 Windsor Tournament, played on the weekend of July 14-15 at the Berkshire County Cricket Club in Sonning, attracted 32 teams, who braved rainy conditions on Saturday, and were rewarded with sunshine on the Sunday. Clapham Thunder won the B-grade title and Manchester Fish were champions at C-grade.

GB Women lose final game to Australia

The GB Women's Fastpitch Team bowed out of the 2012 Women's World Championships with an 8-0 loss to Australia on Thursday and a 2-5 record overall, which will probably mean a 13th place finish. The team will look back on missed chances and defensive lapses that cost them the chance to finish higher, but there was never any margin for error in a pool loaded with top teams.

Men’s and Women’s Slowpitch National Championships rained off

The British Softball Federation has announced that the Men's and Women's Slowpitch National Championships, scheduled for this weekend, July 21-22, at Burleigh Community College in Loughborough, have been cancelled due to saturated grounds caused by recent rain. GB falls to world best Japan

The GB Women's Fastpitch Team came up against the world's best softball team, Japan, on Wednesday afternoon and lost 7-0 in five innings at the World Championships in Whitehorse. GB was never overwhelmed, but it was death by a thousand cuts, which is the Japanese style.

GB Women make short work of Mexico

The GB Women's Fastpitch Team dodged the raindrops at the World Championship in Whitehorse on Tuesday and disposed of Mexico with a 10-0 four-inning mercy rule win to run their record in the tournament to 2-3.

GB Women give Canada a fright

An 8-1 loss to Canada may not seem like a great result, but the GB Women's Team played a close and competitive game of softball against the highly- ranked Canadians for most of the game at the World Championships in Whitehorse, and the game might have gone either way.

GB Women stumble against New Zealand

The GB Women's Fastpitch Team went down 3-0 to New Zealand at the World Championships on Sunday in a game they absolutely could not afford to lose. It will now take something of a softball miracle for the GB Team to reach the playoffs.

Stacie Townsend no-hits Chinese Taipei in 1-0 GB win

GB pitcher Stacie Townsend threw a no-hitter against highly-ranked Chinese Taipei and drove in the only run of the game as the GB Women's Team recorded their first win at the World Championships and kept alive their slim hopes of a playoff place.
