Bristol Phoenix win the Autumn Cotswold Tournament

The 2014 Autumn Cotswold Tournament was blessed with fine weather on Sunday 5 October and a full complement of 12 teams from around the country that turned out at Archway School in Stroud. Two Bristol teams contested the Trophy final, won by Phoenix over Swarm.

Jersey Tournament to be revived in 2015

The Jersey Softball Association is bringing back the Jersey Tournament in 2015 on the weekend of 2-3 May, this time as a C-grade and D-grade event, and hopes to attract a good number of teams from the UK mainland.

England holds off USA to win 2014 World Series

England won the Trophy competition at the 16th Softball World Series Tournament on the weekend of 13-14 September, played at the venue formerly known as the British Airways Concorde Club, holding off the USA in a tense and close final by a score of 9-8.

Chromies power to Nationals three-peat

The Chromies turned on the power at the end of their Premier Nationals final against the Pioneers at Farnham Park on Sunday 31 August and quickly turned a small deficit into a large lead to win a third straight Co-ed Slowpitch National Championship. But being the Chromies, they had to do it the hard way.

Blue Steel warms up for Nationals with Edinburgh win

Blue Steel warmed up for the Premier Nationals by taking the main trophy, the Pentlands Cup, at the 2014 Edinburgh Festiball, played at Peffermill Fields in Edinburgh on the Bank Holiday weekend of 23-24 August.

North and South share prizes at Co-ed Nationals

Twenty teams – eight B-grade and 12 C-grade – took part in the British Softball Federation's 2014 Co-ed National Championships over the weekend of 9-10 August at Farnham Park. The honours were split among London, Windsor, Leeds and the East Midlands.

Wrapping up the Border Battle

A European Men's Slowpitch Team took part for the first time in the annual Border Battle Tournament, played from from July 24-26 in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, an annual pinnacle event for men's slowpitch that climaxes with a US v Canada showdown.

UCE Travellers win European Slowpitch Cup

At the beginning of the European Slowpitch Super Cup in the Czech Republic, no one would have thought this result possible. But on Saturday 2 August, the UCE Travellers from Germany upset first H2O in the pre-final and then Chromies in the final to win the tournament and put a new name on the trophy.

Pioneers win 2014 NSL Championship

Pioneers have won the 2014 National Softball League Championship, following the last NSL competition results at Diamond 3 on 26-27 July, and will be the top seed at the Premier Nationals, scheduled for 30-31 August at Farnham Park.

H2O draws first blood against the Chromies

In the first of three games that H2O and the Chromies will probably play against each other on the road to the European Slowpitch Super Cup title in the Czech Republic, H2O drew first blood on Thursday morning with a 19-10 win in the first game of the Championship round-robin.
