A real batting cage comes to Manchester

The Manchester Outlaws Softball Club, which has three teams at different levels in the Manchester Softball League, has brought a proper commercial pitching machine to the North West and built a batting cage to go around it at the Hough End Social Club ground at Chorlton.

Women’s fastpitch is a hit in the East Midlands

The second annual "Battle of the Shires" tournament will take place in Leicester on Sunday 6 October. The inaugural event last year inspired the creation of a successful East Midlands Fastpitch League this season.

GB Under-19 player wins US college scholarship

GB Under-19 Women's Team outfielder Susie Hall has been awarded a scholarship to play college softball in the United States at Frank Phillips Community College in Texas.

Money from Mars for softball and baseball

The Mars Refuel Drink Fund, set up to encourage people to try new sports and play their favourite sport for longer, will open for entries from April 2. The fund has one gold (£1000), two silver (£500) and eight bronze (£250) awards to donate to the most deserving applicants every month for the next six months.
