The Great Britain Women's Fastpitch Team Programme includes the following teams:

  • GB Senior Women's Team
  • GB Under-22 Women's Team
  • GB Under-18 Women's Team
  • GB Under-15 Women's Team

All four teams in this programme are managed by BaseballSoftballUK (BSUK) through a Delegation of Authority from the British Softball Federation, under the Olympic-based World Class Performance Programme (WCPP).

Selection Policy

The British Softball Federation’s Women’s Performance Programme includes all of the Great Britain Women’s Fastpitch Softball teams and has a formal Selection Policy and Criteria.

GB Senior Women's Fastpitch Team

Founded: 1985. The team has played in European Championship competitions since the early 1990s.

Ranking at 2019 Europe/Africa Olympic Qualifier:  2nd

WBSC World Ranking: 12th

Last Official Competition: Great Britain finished fourth at the WBSC Softball World Cup - Group Lima, following a bronze medal at the 2025 European Championships.

Next Official Competition: The Great Britain Women's National Team will compete in the 2027 European Women's Championship from 25-31 July 2027 in Stuttgart, GER. The top four teams from the European Championships and hosts Spain will advance to the 2027 LA28 Europea/Africa Qualifier in Barcelona, ESP.


GB Under-22 Women's Fastpitch Team

Founded: 2018. The team played in its first European Under-22 Women's Championship in the year it was founded.

Last Official Competition: The 2024 U-22 European Championship saw Great Britain win bronze, the first medal for the U22 age group.

Last Official Competition: The 2025 U-18 European Championship in Navarra & Zaragoza, ESP, where GB came seventh.

Next Official Competition: The 2027 European Under-18 Women's Championship will be played in Hluboká nad Vltavou, Czechia from 5-10 July 2027.

GB Under-15 Women's Fastpitch Team

Founded: 2001 (formerly the GB Under-16 Women's Fastpitch Team)
