Two single-sex slowpitch tournaments for men's and women's teams are being organised in London this season by Alan MacFarlane and Jennifer Cruickshank, with support from the Greater London Softball Mixed League, to fill the gap in single-sex play.
The first tournament, the Spring First Ball, will take place on Sunday 17 May, and the second, the Summer Last Ball, will be played on Sunday 16 August. Both tournaments will be played at Riverside Lands Playing Fields, Duke's Meadow, Riverside Drive, Chriswick, London W4 2SP.
The entry cost for each tournament will be £150, which includes BSF affiliation, and the deadline for entry for the Spring First Ball is Monday 11 May.
All teams are welcome to enter, and a handicap system will be used to make play as even as possible.
