Monday 15 August – The Mix, who qualified by winning the GBFL Women’s Division Championship in 2021, arrived in Avigliana, Italy on Sunday for the 2022 European Women’s Cup and spent the day preparing both mentally and physically for the week ahead.

In 2019, The Mix won a silver medal at this tournament; in 2021, they were the only British national or club team to play in Europe, overcoming Covid travel restrictions to do so, and finished fifth.  This year, the goal is another medal.

“The girls are excited to get started,” Mix co-captain Chelsie Robison said.  “It's been a long time coming, with the whole season building up to this week.

“The Mix have a great mixture of youth and experience,” Chelsie added, “including players from the NSL, GBFL and beyond, and this is a team that is hungry for success.  After a challenging tournament last year due to injuries and Covid restrictions, the team is keen to make their mark in Europe again.”
