A new independent Single-Sex Slowpitch Tournament for recreational and competitive men's and women's teams will be held at Riverside Lands in Chiswick, London on Sunday 18 May, and entries are now being taken.

The tournament was set up to fill the gap left by BSUK being no longer able to run the Single-Sex Spring, Summer and Autumn Balls, as they have for the past several years.

The entry fee for the new tournament will be £150, and the registration deadline is 9 May.  There are places for up to 20 teams.

Other tournaments

The only other single-sex slowpitch tournaments available this season -- at least at present -- are a tournament for men's and women's slowpitch teams at Farnham Park on Saturday 21 June run jointly by the BSF and BSUK, the BSF Single-Sex Nationals on 12-13 July in Birmingham, a Women's Slowpitch September Ball on Saturday 6 September at Maidenhead Softball Club and the Let the Girls Play Women's Slowpitch Tournament on 6-7 September at Farnham Park.

The BSF is considering the possibility of running an additional single-sex tournament during the season, possibly in the North.
