What position do you normally play?
Pitcher

If you could play any other position what would it be and why?
Shortstop and third base is where most of the play is, so you need to be quick and switched on for accuracy.

How long have you been playing softball?
Three years

How did you first get introduced to softball?
I was introduced to softball during my first year at high school by Mark House.  I then attended a three-day session coached by [GB Women's Team Head Coach] Hayley Scott in Fakenham and she invited me to attend Academy training sessions at Upper Heyford.

What do you like best about softball?
I love playing and meeting new friends from all over the world.

What is your best GB softball memory?
Representing my country at the age of 12 in the Under-13 European Championships in Ankara, Turkey, where we finished third with a bronze medal.  After that, playing for the Under-16s in the Tuscany Series in 2012 and winning the Best Batter trophy.

What softball drills do you think help you most in the specific position you play?
Being a pitcher, I need to practice pitching to the four corners of the plate with my dad to increase speed and accuracy.  Also, holding the softball in different grips for drop ball, curve ball and rise ball.

Tell us a little about the best play you have ever made during a game.
In Italy in 2012, during the Tuscany Series, I hit two home runs in one game.

What’s your favourite pre-game and post-game meal?
Pre-game meal is chicken wrap.
Post-game meal is pizza.

Do you have a favourite player or role model in softball?
Jennie Finch.  No one could touch her as a pitcher.  She has an NCAA-record 60 wins, she was a two-time World Champion, she won a gold and silver medal in the Olympics, and she was two-time NCAA National Player of the Year (2001 and 2002) and won two gold medals in the Pan American Games.

Many baseball and softball players are known to be superstitious.  Do you have any game day superstitions?
No

Who is your favourite song, singer and group?
Song is “How ya Doin'” by Little Mix.

What is your favourite country that you’ve visited for softball or on holiday – and why?
Italy, because it has the best ice cream, pizzas and weather.

Do you play any other sports or take part in any activities besides softball?
Football, cricket, badminton, hockey and tennis.

Do you have any advice for younger players who are starting to play softball and hope to be selected for a GB National Team?
Train hard and never give up, keep believing in yourself and you will succeed.
