Teams from across Europe have been invited to play in the first German Slowpitch International Open Championships on the weekend of August 3-4 in Gunzenhausen, not far from Nuremberg.

The tournament, with a limit of 18 teams, will be co-ed slowpitch, but not as we know it, since only two women are required to be on the field at any one time.

The entry fee will be 100 euros and camping is available at the site.

The tournament will be run by Charles Williams, an American who has brought several teams to the Softball World Series in the UK and has also organised slowpitch tournaments in the Czech Republic.

The deadline for entry is July 13.  For more information or to enter, contact Charles Williams on: cjwreachout@yahoo.com or ring 00-49-176-613-65475.
