The London Mets Baseball Club is looking for recruits for a new Girls' Fastpitch Softball programme.  Teams formed from the programme will play a 20-game league schedule on Sunday afternoons from 13 March to 5 June along with teams from LondonSports.

The programme is designed for girls aged 13-19, and newcomers are welcome, regardless of any previous experience with baseball or softball.

Training sessions and most games will take place at the London Mets' home ground at the Manor House end of Finsbury Park, a short walk from Manor House tube station on the Piccadilly Line.

Fastpitch softball is a quick, exciting and challenging game, and women's fastpitch was an Olympic sport from 1996 through 2008 and is expected to be restored to the Olympics in 2020 in Tokyo.

The London Mets are one of the top baseball clubs in the country and are current National Champions.  But they have also built one of the best youth baseball programmes in Britain, and will now bring that expertise to bear on creating an opportunity for girls to play fastpitch softball.
