Thirty-three teams entered and 141 games of softball were played at the 2013 Manchester Tournament, held on the weekend of 3-4 August at Parrs Wood Playing Fields in Manchester. The weather was sunny throughout – except for the final!

It was great to see softball teams from all over the United Kingdom come together for the Manchester Tournament.
141 games of softball were played throughout the weekend, the majority in glorious sunshine. Unfortunately, the great Manchester rain decided to save itself for the final, but this didn’t stop a great game between two of Manchester’s finest.
The weekend could not have happened without the help of Janette Kearslake (volunteer) and Peter Jones (Umpire-in-Chief). The time and dedication they both put into the tournament before, during and after was amazing.
Well done to all the teams who took part, and we look forward to seeing you all again for the Firstball next year.
