The Farnham Park Baseball and Softball Club is once again holding its Jingle Balls Indoor Slowpitch Tournament on Sunday 17 January 2016.
The 10-team tournament will be played on two side-by-side indoor courts at the Princess Marina Sports Complex at the Royal Masonic School in Rickmansworth (WD3 4HF). The excellent facilities
provide spectators with views from elevated galleries around three sides of the sports hall and there is a kitchen serving hot food and drinks.
The sports centre is a five minute walk from the Rickmansworth Metropolitan Line station (ideal for teams from London) and a five-minute drive from Junction 18 on the M25 for teams coming from elsewhere.
Tournament features
The tournament will feature:
- Each of the 10 teams will be guaranteed at least five games and possibly six.
- Games will be played in 30 minute slots (two innings of six minutes’ batting for each team).
- Teams to have eight players on in the field with a minimum of three women. The batting line-up should alternate gender as much as possible, with a maximum of 12 batters, at least three of whom must be women.
- Hot and cold food will be available, along with a licensed bar.
Cost and payment
The entry fee will be £100, with a £50 non-refundable deposit due via bank transfer by 20 December and the balance of payment to be made by 3 January 2016. No refunds will be given for cancellation after this date unless a replacement team can be found.
