It was the largest turnout ever for a Spring Cotswold Tournament. Nine teams played, first in three groups of three and after, another round robin between the corresponding places. After some initial problems of diamonds marked in the wrong place and one of the host teams having their equipment locked inside the school.  There was very good weather conditions for the tournament on June 15th at the Archway School in Stroud, where all players played at a competitive level while engaging in a fun-filled tournament.

The day turned out to be a grand one for softball with a very interesting twist in the 1st place playoff where the Canary Cubs were crowned champions with the runner-ups being the Swindon Locos.  The Birmingham Bobcats won the Plate championship and the Brighton Beachcombers finished in 2nd.
