People with softball coaching experience are needed to help with training sessions for young players, mainly in the new year, at BSUK's Academy Softball and Talent programmes and at GB National Team training.

BSUK and GB Softball are looking for people who can work with experienced fastpitch coaches to help run drills and scrimmages and generally assist at training sessions for young players aged between 10 and 25 for Academy and GB sessions and 14-19 at Talent sessions.

A fastpitch background, while desirable, is not a necessity.

A contribution for travel costs may be able to be made.

Talent sessions

Talent development sessions for a selected group of young female fastpitch softball players aged 14-19 will be run as a pilot programme in the South East of England from mid-January through mid-April 2014, funded by Sport England.

Session times and venues have yet to be determined, but there are likely to be sessions one night a week at a sports centre somewhere near Slough or West London.

If you think you can help out at Talent sessions, please contact Will Lintern.

Team Managers

The BSF is also looking for people interested in managing, or helping to manage, GB youth fastpitch teams.

If you want to find out more about what's involved or express interest, please contact Stan Doney.
