The British Softball Federation Executive is urgently seeking help to fill two key roles -- Administrator and Tournaments Officer (Logistics) -- or at least would like to hear from people who could help out in those areas even if they don't want to take on the full responsibility.

Neither position was filled at the AGM in February after Darren Prouty stepped down as BSF Administrator and Fiona Thorley relinquished her role as one of the BSF's two Tournaments Officers, but both positions are vitally important to the successful running of the Federation.

What they do

The BSF Administrator's main tasks are to prepare agendas for BSF Executive meetings in consultation with Executive members, write and distribute Minutes of Executive meetings and receive and distribute correspondence received by the Executive, most of which is in email form.

The role of the BSF Tournaments Officer (Logistics) is to book venues and other elements for BSF National Championships and oversee the running of these tournaments when they occur.  However, the BSF has a second Tournaments Officer, Liz Graham, who handles tournament entries and payments, scheduling, results and statistics.

Who to contact

If you would like to take on either role, or help out with either BSF administration or tournament logistics, please contact BSF President Stella Ackrell to arrange a chat.
