A full complement of 12 teams from Bristol, Coventry, Nottingham, London, Birmingham and Milton Keynes, as well as the local team Cotswold Chaos, competed at the annual Autumn Cotswold Tournament at Archway School in Stroud on Sunday 4 October, on a day when early fog turned to glorious sunshine.

BS7 from Bristol took the title, defeating the Birmingham Bobcats in the final, with Friendly Fire from Bristol in third place.

The Plate title was claimed by Strike It Lucky from Bristol, with Base Jumpers from London second and MK Diamonds in third place.  During the Plate playoffs, each team finished with a 1-1 record, so the Plate placings came down to runs conceded, with Strike It Lucky conceding the fewest.

Coventry Blitz were the Third Group playoff winners, while Nottingham Redbacks won the Fourth Group playoff.

Tournament MVPs were Keiran Smith from Cotswold Chaos and Allie Power from Strike It Lucky.  The Spirit of the Game award went to the MK Diamonds.

Cotswold Tournament organiser Mike LeFevre said: “As is usually the case with Archway School, there was some last minute juggling of the diamonds, as three of the four were marked in places that made playing on them impossible!  Once that was overcome, the 12 teams had a really great day.  The male MVP, Kieran Smith, won the award due to the fact that he had never played softball before the tournament and impressed many with his play and enthusiasm.”
