BaseballSoftballUK and the British Softball Federation will host an eight-team tournament for junior and senior women's fastpitch teams at Farnham Park, a dedicated softball and baseball complex near London and Heathrow Airport, on the weekend of 2-3 July 2016. Both national and club teams are welcome to enter.
The tournament is designed as a warm-up for the 2016 European Junior Women's Championships for any junior national teams that enter. Probable entries so far include:
- The GB Junior Team, winner of the 2015 London Cup.
- An American 18 Gold team from Pennsylvania.
- The London Angels (2013 ESF Women’s B Pool Cup winners).
- The Irish National Women’s Team.
- The club team BAT Paris.
Entries are open now and only a few places are still available. The entry fee for teams from outside the UK (£200) will include collection from Heathrow Airport and transport from accommodation to the field. There are a number of reasonably-priced hotels near the ground, and free camping is allowed on site.
