Fri 3 Jan 2020

A new Veterans Softball Tournament, called Generation X-Ball, will be held in at the Bestwood Lodge Fire and Rescue Service ground in  Nottingham on Sunday 19 April, supported by the East Midlands Softball League, with all proceeds going to the Downs Syndrome Association.

The tournament will have places for eight Rec teams from anywhere in the country, and all players should be over 40 years of age (apart from two players aged between 35 and 40 that will be allowed if teams are struggling).

The entry fee is £120, and the purpose of the tournament is to raise both funds for and awareness of the Downs Syndrome Association, which provides support for people with Downs Syndrome to live the most independent life they can and give people with Downs Syndrome a voice.  The valuable work of the Association provides education and support to families, carers, teachers and employers.

As well as the chance to win trophies, there will be opportunity to win other prizes at the tournament through competitions and raffles.
